Job summary

Benton Rural Electric Association seeks a senior leader to serve as Vice President of Distribution, based in the West Richland office. You will guide engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of the electric distribution system while supervising a team and coordinating with the VP of Engineering/COO.

The role requires extensive leadership in power delivery, vendor relations, and safety, with a focus on reliable, cost-effective service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 8 years of progressively responsible engineering/operations leadership experience.
• WA State PE license or Journeyman Lineman recognition by IBEW.

Key Emphases

Executive position responsible for the engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Association's electric distribution system. This role directs distribution design, line operations, and construction contractor performance to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of electric service. Departmental supervision is exercised over assigned personnel. Work is performed under the direction of the VP of Engineering/COO.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field;
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible engineering or operations leadership experience;
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience that allows the incumbent to successfully perform the essential job functions.
• Washington State Professional Engineer (PE) license or have previously been a Journeyman Lineman as recognized by the IBEW.

Special Requirements

• Maintain a valid driver's license.
