Job summary

Benton REA invites applications for a full-time VP of Distribution to lead the engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of the electric distribution system from our West Richland office. The role offers a strong benefits package, including 100% company-paid family insurance and a 4x10 work schedule with Fridays off.

Qualified candidates will have an engineering degree, 8+ years of leadership experience, and a WA PE license or journeyman lineman status with IBEW.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field.
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible engineering or operations leadership experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience that allows the incumbent to successfully perform the essential job functions.
• Washington State Professional Engineer (PE) license or Journeyman Lineman recognized by the IBEW.

Responsibilities

• Executive position responsible for the engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Association's electric distribution system.
• Direct distribution design, line operations, and construction contractor performance to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of electric service.
• Provide departmental supervision over assigned personnel.

Key Emphases:

Executive position responsible for the engineering, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Association's electric distribution system. This role directs distribution design, line operations, and construction contractor performance to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of electric service. Departmental supervision is exercised over assigned personnel. Work is performed under the direction of the VP of Engineering/COO.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field;


• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible engineering or operations leadership experience;


• Or equivalent combination of education and experience that allows the incumbent to successfully perform the essential job functions.


• Washington State Professional Engineer (PE) license or have previously been a Journeyman Lineman as recognized by the IBEW.

Special Requirements:

• Maintain a valid driver's license.

Compensation and Benefits:

• 401(k) plan with employer match of 14% with 7% employee contribution
