Job summary

Ascend Dallas is seeking a dynamic VP of Development to design and execute the organization’s fundraising strategy, growing major gifts and annual campaigns. You will lead a team of three fundraising and communications professionals and collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to steward key donor relationships.

The role requires strategic oversight of campaigns, events, and communications to raise the organization’s profile and funding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of fund-raising experience with career progression and senior leadership experience.
• Proven success in securing major gifts and building donor relations.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters and/or CFRE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead development strategies to enable sustainable growth.
• Expand major gifts program and manage a portfolio of donors.
• Develop annual fund-raising campaigns and events, overseeing proposals and grants.
• Build and protect Ascend Dallas brand through integrated communications.
• Lead the development and communications team; manage budget and reporting.
