Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City seeks a Vice President to lead data modernization within Consumer & Community Banking Data & Analytics.

You will define metadata and data domain patterns to make data more discoverable, interpretable, and dependable, partnering with data owners and engineers to close quality gaps and standardize practices at scale. You will balance governance with speed, delivering reusable patterns, scorecards, and prototypes that support analytics and generative AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, scientific, or technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in data science, data management, data governance, data quality, or analytics engineering.
• Strong knowledge of metadata management and data catalog tools.
• Hands-on experience with structured and unstructured data at scale.
• Proficiency in SQL and data quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Shape and drive adoption of the enterprise data readiness framework across Consumer & Community Banking units.
• Define and champion standards for metadata to ensure data is well-defined, discoverable, and trustworthy at scale.
• Establish semantic and context standards to improve data interpretability and reuse in analytics and AI systems.
• Lead profiling of priority domains to surface gaps and partner with data owners to remediate them.
• Convert fixes into repeatable, scalable enrichment patterns and mentor others.
• Advise data leaders and engineers on quality and usability improvements with high value across large datasets.
• Build and showcase prototypes to demonstrate improved readiness for analytics and AI, including conversational and agentic experiences.
• Own readiness scorecards and KPIs, translating progress into maturity assessments and executive updates.
