Job summary

Yondr is seeking a VP of DC Operations to ensure maximum readiness of the data center fleet and achieve 99.999% uptime. You will govern procedures, asset management, and maintenance strategies while coordinating with on-site teams and the leadership team to optimize operational readiness and customer satisfaction.

The role requires deep expertise in critical facility operations, program management, process optimization, incident response, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data center facility operations and maintenance.
• 5+ years of leadership across multiple data center facilities.
• Proven track record in hiring strong leaders and building teams.
• Expertise in critical MEP systems, UPS, power distribution, cooling, air handling, and monitoring systems.
• Experience with business strategy, quality output, and project management.
• Strong analytical, planning and issue-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fleet-wide Method of Procedures (MOPs) for critical DC equipment and commissioning scripts.
• Create SOPs and EOPs for operational teams across the region.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for clients and staff.
• Lead change management aligned with CIO requirements.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to secure fast delivery of critical spares and equipment.
• Develop SLAs and reporting for third-party vendors to meet contractual targets.
• Manage budgets and drive unit cost optimization.
• Set and enforce DC performance benchmarks and provide O&M improvement analyses.
• Collaborate with the CIO's office to meet ISO and HSQE standards.
• Oversee facility handover and commissioning to meet customer specs.
• Address local sustainability and public affairs requirements.
• Manage customer relationships and serve as escalation point for on-site teams.
• Assist in selecting candidates for on-site operations across the region.
• Supervise facility managers, technicians, and vendors; ensure performance meets program standards.
• Drive continual improvement and share best practices regionally.
• Provide leadership on performance and reliability of critical MEP systems during planning to completion.
• Communicate lessons learned and risk across cross-functional teams.
• Lead issue resolution and mitigation planning for datacenter operations.
