Job summary

Aspen Music Festival and School seeks a visionary Vice President for Advancement to lead all fundraising efforts. You will shape strategies for annual giving, endowment, and campaigns, inspiring donors and collaborating with a high-profile executive team.

The role requires closing seven-figure gifts, working with national/international boards, and mentoring a six-person development team. Based in Aspen, this full-time position advances music education and community impact through philanthropy.

Qualifications

• Experience closing major seven-figure gifts.
• Experience working with national/international boards and donor bases.
• Ability to articulate AMFS’s mission, strategy and philanthropic impact.
• Proven track record of building and guiding high-performing development teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic fundraising plans to meet annual and campaign goals.
• Drive completion of major campaigns and grow contributed income from diverse donors.
• Recruit, engage, and support the Board of Trustees and donors.
• Hire, supervise, and mentor the development team; ensure gift recording and stewardship.
