Job summary

Aspen Music Festival and School is seeking a Vice President for Advancement to lead philanthropic efforts from Aspen, Colorado. The role reports to the President/CEO and will drive strategies for annual fund, endowment, and capital campaigns while inspiring a broad donor base.

The VP will manage a development team of six full-time and three seasonal staff, work with the Board, and travel to engage national and international donors.

Qualifications

• Experienced fundraising professional with a track record of success in annual fund, endowment, and capital campaigns.
• Demonstrated ability to close major seven-figure gifts.
• Experience working with national/international boards and donor bases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute strategic fundraising plans to support AMFS's mission and growth.
• Achieve and exceed annual fundraising goals of $10 million from donors and foundations.
• Drive the Aspen Promises campaign to its $92 million goal and beyond.
• Recruit, engage, and support an active Board of Trustees and major donors.
• Oversee a development team and ensure accurate recording and stewardship of gifts.
• Represent AMFS publicly and travel as needed to engage donors.
