Job summary

Exponent is seeking a VP of Accounting to lead a fast-growing, PE-backed infrastructure services platform in the Midwest. You will architect scalable accounting hubs and drive post-acquisition integration across a multi-location footprint.

Responsibilities include leading multi-entity operations, managing month-end close and GAAP reporting with ASC 606 revenue recognition, and developing finance talent. You’ll partner with the CFO and sponsors to enable growth toward $500M+ revenue.

Qualifications

• Construction accounting expertise, especially WIP and percentage-of-completion rev rec, for accurate reporting.
• PE-backed, multi-entity leadership with shared services, standardization and controls.
• Strong leadership and change-management with hands-on guidance and minimal micromanagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-state accounting operations across the portfolio with standardized processes.
• Lead month-end close, quarterly and annual GAAP reporting, handling ASC 606 RevRec complexity.
• Mentor regional controllers and build a finance leadership bench.
• Drive post-acquisition integration, aligning systems, controls, and processes for growth.
• Partner with CFO and sponsors on cash flow and strategic planning to grow toward $500M+ revenue.
