Job summary

Annaly Capital Management, Inc. is seeking a Non-QM Mortgage Underwriter Vice President to join the Residential Credit team in Dallas, TX (or Remote). This role focuses on the Non-Delegated channel, managing vendor relationships and communicating with our network of sellers.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of Non-QM credit experience, strong ability to render credit decisions, and experience supporting Onslow Bay contract underwriters while monitoring market guidelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant credit experience in Non-QM
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license preferred
• Preference given to candidates with NY State MLO license

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Onslow Bay and third-party diligence providers
• Review diligence findings for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
• Resolve escalated conditions, credit exceptions, and guideline interpretation questions
• Perform manual underwriting reviews and render credit decisions on Non-QM loan products (Bank Statement, DSCR, Asset Utilization, P&L, etc.)
• Analyze borrower income, assets, credit, collateral and ability-to-repay
• Identify layered risk and provide mitigating factors and justification
• Issue final approval and Clear-to-Close decisions
• Prioritize and manage high-priority and rush loan requests
• Build strong relationships with sellers and provide excellent customer service
• Review condo questionnaires and non-warrantable features to assess risk
