Job summary

Cumulus Media in Reno, NV seeks an accomplished VP/Market Manager to lead a multi-station broadcast market. You will drive revenue growth, shape local strategies, and develop a high-performing sales organization that collaborates with programming, promotions, digital, finance, and operations to deliver compelling advertiser solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in broadcast sales/management, a related bachelor's degree, and travel across the market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of broadcast radio, media, or advertising sales & operational management required.
• Bachelor's degree in business management, radio, or related field highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; regular travel to client meetings, community events, and other activities throughout the market.
• Experience preparing annual budgets, monthly P&L statements, and sales forecasting reports.
• Proven track record of delivering integrated advertising solutions across on-air, on-site, and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for a multi-station broadcast radio market, setting clear business priorities and driving revenue and performance results.
• Lead local and regional sales efforts, expanding the market's broadcast and digital sales portfolio and identifying opportunities within new business categories.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing sales organization that consistently achieves and exceeds its goals.
• Lead with a coaching mindset by setting clear expectations, raising performance standards, providing actionable feedback, and empowering team members to take ownership of their results.
• Maintain understanding of revenue performance, sales activity, pipeline development, client retention, forecasting, and progress against market goals.
• Build relationships with advertisers, community partners, and business leaders while positioning the stations as providers of integrated marketing solutions.
• Collaborate across programming, promotions, digital, finance, and operations to align priorities and ensure effective execution.
