Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking a Market Data Sourcing Vice President to lead strategy and execution for market data contracts, including commercial terms and usage rights. You will partner with businesses, legal and risk to meet current and future needs while ensuring regulatory compliance.

This role focuses on the Index category with potential involvement in pricing, reference data, exchanges and research/news.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in category management, sourcing, procurement, vendor management and commercial negotiations within financial institutions or global organizations.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s or Law degree a plus.
• Experience in people management, coaching and SME guidance.
• Detailed understanding of contracts: review, negotiation and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Understand Market Data needs across business areas and source products/services from optimal vendors at best price.
• Manage the Index category and lead the Sourcing team.
• Negotiate large/complex Market Data contracts and advise stakeholders.
• Collaborate with legal and risk to ensure accurate commercial terms and usage rights.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and mitigate risks in contracting.
• Ensure end-to-end contracting is completed promptly and stakeholders are kept informed.
• Support other categories (Pricing, Reference Data, Exchanges, Research) as needed.
• Work with Third Party Risk Management to ensure compliant acquisition processes.
