Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of Metro Atlanta seeks a Vice President, Development (Major Gifts) to lead the major gifts program and build a robust donor pipeline. This role partners with executive leadership to secure transformative philanthropic support and advance Lasting Impact 2030.

The VP will manage a 100–150 donor portfolio, cultivate high-net-worth individuals and corporate supporters, and collaborate across teams to deliver compelling cases for support and sustained donor engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• CFRE certification preferred.
• Advanced degree in nonprofit management, business, public administration, communications, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of successful nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Demonstrated track record of securing five-, six-, and preferably seven-figure gifts.
• Experience managing a major gift portfolio and complex donor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts strategy.
• Personally manage a portfolio of 100-150 qualified major gift prospects and donors.
• Conduct ongoing prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
• Develop donor engagement and solicitation strategies to secure gifts of $10,000 and above.
• Lead the Major Gifts cycle from planning to closure and reporting.
