Job summary

Barclays in New York is seeking a VP, Trading & Sales Assistant - Macro to directly support the US Rates Sales desks in the front office.

You will act as first-line support for Sales, helping ensure timely capture of new trades and lifecycle events across trade capture systems, coordinating trades, unwinds, novations and restructures, and collaborating with Trading, Operations, Legal, Middle Office and Risk.

Qualifications

• Previous Rates Trading or Sales experience in a front-office or closely aligned role.
• Knowledge of Interest Rate Derivatives and full trade lifecycle support.
• Understanding of trade capture, amendments, unwinds, novations and post-trade events.
• Working knowledge of MarkitWire and related workflow to confirm and resolve trade issues.
• Attention to detail and risk awareness in a fast-paced client and sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate technical support to traders and sales on the desks.
• Coordinate trade execution by liaising with traders, clients and internal teams.
• Maintain trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support sales and trading activities.
• Monitor market data and assist in analysis for trading decisions.
• Process trades, confirm orders, and resolve trade discrepancies.
