You will connect field underwriting with senior management and brokers, shaping annual and long-term plans while guiding a team of underwriting professionals. The role emphasizes leadership, broker relationships, and strategic execution, with extensive field travel and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in package lines including auto, property, workers’ comp, umbrella and premises operations.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Life Science experience a plus.
• Products liability claims made experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for profitable growth of all products within the organization.
• Serve as a strategic connector between field underwriting teams, senior management, and external broker partners.
• Develop the annual operating plan objectives (top and bottom line) and long-term strategic plan along with broker/producer development planning.
• Provide leadership to underwriting leaders and the team; manage and develop the team.
• Drive goals for new business, retention, rate and customer service; act as a catalyst for field activity and business development.
• Maintain compliance and collaborate with cross-functional teams; engage in innovation initiatives and product launches.
• Travel up to 50% and lead by example in the field.
