Job summary

W. R. Berkley Corporation’s Berkley Life Sciences division seeks an underwriting professional to lead new business marketing and production, renewal underwriting, and client servicing for complex life sciences accounts.

You will collaborate with producers and brokers, manage risk selection, and drive strategic growth across assigned territories. The role requires deep knowledge of the life sciences insurance market, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build durable client and broker

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience.
• Life Science Products Liability experience.
• Claims made experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new business and manage account pricing, marketing, and documentation for Berkley Life Sciences products.
• Build and maintain broker relationships to meet growth, retention, and profitability goals.
• Develop new producers and expand opportunities within the region.
• Identify opportunities for account rounding and cross-sell opportunities.
• Provide technical support to producers and insureds.
• Stay current with compliance and workflow changes.
• Collaborate with underwriting, operations, legal, risk management and claims teams.
• Contribute to product launches, campaigns and short-term projects.
