Job summary

Worth Credit Union seeks a senior leader to transform our lending programs, directing consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending. You will set underwriting policy, risk appetite, and portfolio strategy while ensuring independent credit decisioning from growth targets.

The role reports to the Chief Growth and Marketing Officer and leads production, staffing, and process discipline across all lending channels, with accountability for policy and execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive lending experience across consumer, mortgage, and commercial sectors.
• 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing multi-channel lending teams.
• Experience in credit union or community financial institutions preferred.
• Registered or credentialed as applicable; CCUE or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the lending function across consumer, mortgage, and commercial channels with policy and execution ownership.
• Set underwriting standards, pricing, and risk appetite within board-approved parameters.
• Maintain portfolio quality, early-warning indicators, and risk strategy.
• Ensure independence of credit decisioning from growth targets and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with CGMO, CFO, Risk, and Compliance to align growth with risk controls.
