Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex risks across medical, non-medical, financial, highly substandard, and multi-impairment cases
• Underwrite large case and high net worth business, including foreign national cases
• Deliver high-quality underwriting decisions aligned with Swiss Re's risk appetite and pricing objectives
• Build and nurture client relationships as a trusted reinsurance partner
• Stay current on medical advancements, underwriting trends, and regulatory environment
• Collaborate cross-functionally with pricing, product, legal, and other teams
• Participate in and lead audit programs and governance initiatives
• Represent Swiss Re at industry conferences and client meetings
• Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and mentorship across the Americas
• Support product and governance considerations to ensure compliant underwriting
