Qualifications

• Large Case Underwriting experience with a minimum of $10 million approval authority.
• Significant experience with High Net Worth, Complex cases and foreign national business.
• Vast knowledge of industry developments, regulatory changes and medical advances that may impact underwriting decisions.
• Strong, established relationships across the life underwriting community.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex risks across medical, non-medical, financial, highly substandard, and multi-impairment cases.
• Underwrite large case and high net worth business, including foreign national cases.
• Deliver high-quality underwriting decisions aligned with risk appetite and pricing objectives.
• Build and nurture client relationships as a knowledgeable reinsurance partner.
• Stay current on medical advancements and regulatory developments to inform risk decisions.
• Collaborate with pricing, product, legal, and other teams to drive well-rounded outcomes.
• Participate in audit programs to support governance and quality assurance.
• Represent Swiss Re at industry conferences and client meetings.
