Job summary

Eaton Corporation seeks a Vice President of Labor Relations to lead global and US labor relations strategy within Corporate HR. The role can be remote in the US with 50% travel, including Mexico.

You will advise executive leadership on union matters, manage CBAs, ensure contract compliance, and develop proactive employee relations programs at sites worldwide. This senior role requires 12+ years in multinational labor relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 12+ years progressive HR/Labor Relations experience with leadership for a large unit.
• Experience implementing Labor Relations laws/resolution approaches in a corporate environment.
• Senior executive leadership experience in a global environment.
• Extensive end-to-end union negotiations experience including CBAs and employee relations.
• Eaton does not sponsor immigration visas for this position.

Responsibilities

• Advise business and HR leadership on labor/union matters in the US and Mexico.
• Lead negotiations and terms of collective bargaining agreements and related policies.
• Develop and implement union-awareness programs and management responses to union campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with union contracts using IR programs and checks/balances.
• Guide leadership on disciplinary/grievance issues within the union population.
• Engage with sites for early issue identification and intervention.
• Monitor compliance with employment laws and regulations at all levels.
• Manage high-profile grievance procedures related to CBAs and work rules.
