Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Java Developer, Vice President, for the Equities Technology group in Jersey City, NJ. You will lead development efforts, design reviews, and production release planning while guiding a team of engineers to deliver scalable risk and margin applications.

The role requires hands-on Java development, deep knowledge of Spring, Kafka, and distributed caches, plus experience with cloud-native architectures and container platforms.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development role with hands-on coding.
• Demonstrated thought leadership in designing complex and distributed systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Java, Spring, Kafka, and distributed cache/systems such as Apache Ignite.

Responsibilities

• Lead applications systems analysis, design and programming activities.
• Guide team to establish design standards and improve development workflow.
• Take ownership of smooth production releases planning and execution.
• Oversee software quality and system modifications.
• Mentor mid-level developers and analysts to ensure governance standards.
