Morgan Stanley is seeking a senior, hands-on Lead Software Engineer (VP level) in the Technology division. You will lead a group of engineers with a strong backend Java focus, shaping architectural direction and delivering scalable, full-stack solutions.

You will partner closely with business stakeholders and product owners to translate needs into impactful software. You will balance strategic leadership with hands-on coding, mentoring, and delivering across Java services, APIs, and modern front

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of hands-on software development and leadership experience.
Strong Java backend skills with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
Full-stack capabilities with modern JS frameworks (React/Angular).
Proven ability to lead engineers and work with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead a group of engineers, set priorities, and mentor team members.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Architect and modernize components across the stack; own delivery from concept to production.
