Job summary

Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. seeks a Vice President of Communications to lead and oversee the firm’s internal communications strategy, aligning with business objectives and advising senior leadership on messaging.

The role involves executive messaging, thought leadership, and managing sensitive situations. The position also manages high-volume investor reporting, drives process improvements, and partners with technology, risk & reporting, tax, and other teams to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in client, public or investor relations.
• Experience in asset management and marketing (preferred).
• Communications experience involving writing for both external and internal audiences.
• Extensive project management experience.
• Facility with Microsoft Office and basic familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the firm’s internal communications strategy, aligning with business objectives and senior leadership messaging.
• Own and manage a high-volume investor reporting function, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across recurring deliverables.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve inputs and delivery of reporting materials.
• Design, manage, and implement initiatives and supervise business operations with key internal stakeholders.
• Create internal and external communications plans and manage content review and approvals.
