Job summary

JPMorganChase Insurance Attorney, Vice President, Assistant General Counsel in Wealth Management Legal, provides practical, solutions‑oriented legal guidance on annuities, life insurance, property and casualty insurance, and related regulatory matters.

You will advise partners across Wealth Management and broader firm stakeholders, helping deliver products responsibly while balancing business priorities with risk.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal practice with demonstrated insurance experience.
• Expertise advising on annuities, life insurance, and property & casualty insurance products.
• Strong knowledge of state insurance laws and NAIC model laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter legal expert for distribution of insurance products (annuities, life, P&C).
• Draft, negotiate, and review transactional documents and marketing agreements.
• Review insurance marketing/educational materials; advise on licensing and regulatory matters.
• Provide practical legal counsel reflecting business priorities while balancing risk.
• Interpret laws and regulations, proposing appropriate business responses.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Controls on risk management and controls design.
