Job summary

WaterEquity seeks a VP, Business Development to lead fundraising for its Financial Institutions debt strategy and strengthen investor relations. Reporting to the Chief Investor Relations Officer (CIRO), this remote role focuses on building relationships with foundations, family offices, HNWIs, DFIs, and institutional investors while collaborating with the IR team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in capital raising or investor-facing work and a passion for impact investing.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in capital raising or investor relations.
Ability to clearly communicate investment strategies to diverse investors.
Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Expand and execute fundraising for WaterEquity's Financial Institutions debt strategy.
Prepare organizational, fund, and investor-specific collateral and due diligence materials.
Manage all stages of the sales cycle from targeting to closing.
Assist with investor relations activities and client service for investors and prospects.
Provide insight into investor behavior to influence strategy and product development.
Represent WaterEquity at industry conferences such as GIIN, SOCAP, UN Climate Week.
Collaborate with Water.org to raise awareness and opportunities for co-founders and teams.
Maintain investor records in Salesforce and track relationship details.
Participate in organization-wide meetings and activities.
