Job summary

YWCA York in York, PA seeks a Senior HR Director to lead human resources across recruitment, benefits, compliance, and workforce planning. You will align HR practices with the organization’s mission to empower women and promote social justice while fostering an inclusive workplace.

You will supervise HR operations, develop strategic initiatives, and advance DEI, employee engagement, and performance management in a nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• PHR certification or equivalent preferred.
• Five years of progressive HR experience, including at least 12 months managing an HR function.
• HR experience in nonprofit sector preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention for staff at all levels.
• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization’s mission.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning and talent acquisition.
• Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across HR practices.
• Implement performance management and employee development programs.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and manage employee relations.
