Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with digital assets like Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

Role Summary:

This is a dynamic and highly visible opportunity for a senior HR business partner, providing strategic HR support for NBCUniversal's Finance organization, global Finance, Corporate Strategy, Controller & Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Procurement, Tax teams, and the Communications organization. The VP of HR will partner with senior leaders, offering HR support and guidance. The role reports to the Global Head of HR, Corporate HR, and leads HR business partners in New York, Los Angeles, and London, based in Manhattan, NY.

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with senior finance and communications leaders to foster a community across the company, understanding talent needs and trends.
  2. Communicate and implement the vision, values, and goals of NBCUniversal’s CFO and CCO within the functions.
  3. Lead HR processes including staffing, performance management, compensation, succession planning, training, rewards, and organizational effectiveness.
  4. Partner with embedded HR business partners to ensure consistency and proactive HR initiatives.
  5. Manage talent pipelines, competitive compensation, development opportunities, and promote top talent.
  6. Identify and facilitate movement of key talent across the enterprise in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
  7. Work with Comcast HR to attract and develop entry-level talent and pipeline programs.
  8. Provide executive coaching to leaders on organizational and employee issues.
  9. Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives and employee development programs.
  10. Serve as HR liaison, advising on broader HR issues impacting the company.
  11. Support a positive, inclusive, and motivating work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional HR experience, including leadership roles.

  • Strong relationship-building, influence, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR disciplines, employment laws, employee relations, and organizational design.

Additional Requirements

Hybrid work model, generally three days in-office. Salary range: $200,000 - $240,000 plus bonus and incentives. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and discounts.
