Oncology Field Medical Director, Thoracic (Non MD)

Role Summary

You will provide therapeutic area/product expertise for the Thoracic Oncology Team across a broad range of Medical customer segments and initiatives in the territory (New England).

Responsibilities

1. Plan and execute Medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers within a territory, coordinating with Pfizer colleagues to achieve objectives.
2. Maintain knowledge of relevant disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide information to stakeholders.
3. Serve as a resource for Medical Information and customer insights, sharing information with HCPs and Pfizer as appropriate.
4. Contribute to Medical content strategy development and execute Field Medical tactics.
5. Communicate effectively with headquarters Medical colleagues, Medical Information, and Field Medical teams.
6. Deliver medical content through various channels, including presentations and written communication.
7. Ensure patient-centricity in Medical communications, incorporating health literacy and cultural awareness.
8. Provide accurate, scientifically supported information in response to unsolicited medical requests.
9. Lead advisory boards and manage inbound queries from HCPs.
10. Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs and Research colleagues on clinical trial site identification and support Investigator Sponsored Research.
11. Develop therapeutic and research expertise, staying updated with congress data and literature.
12. Provide asset leadership and understand study design, data analysis, and interpretation.
13. Demonstrate strong territory leadership and communicate with Patient Advocacy Groups.
14. Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs at professional associations and societies.
15. Mentor new team members and participate in special projects.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Science required; advanced degrees (PhD, PharmD) preferred.
• Experience: 6+ years (PharmD/PhD), 8+ years (MBA/MSc), 10+ years (BA/BSc).
• Recognized subject matter expertise and excellent communication skills.

Work Location

Remote, based in New England. Salary range: $169,700 - $282,900, plus bonus and benefits.
