PEG Staffing & Recruiting supports a global manufacturing client in St. Louis seeking a strategic VP, HR Operations to oversee Employee Relations, People Operations, and HR Strategy. This high-impact role partners with the CHRO to drive key people initiatives across the organization.

The position offers a hybrid schedule from the St. Louis office, leading a team of 3. You will develop dashboards, analyze workforce data, and coordinate enterprise-wide HR programs with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of strategic HR, HR consulting, project management, or related experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• 5+ years of people leadership, leading teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, employment law, and compliance.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills using workforce data to guide decisions.
• Excellent executive communication, project management, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CHRO to prioritize and execute enterprise-wide HR strategies and initiatives.
• Lead complex HR projects from planning through implementation with clear timelines and accountability.
• Analyze turnover, absenteeism, labor efficiency, and safety trends to identify risks and solutions.
• Develop dashboards, executive summaries, and reporting tools from HR data.
• Lead organizational initiatives such as restructures, HR technology implementations, and transformation projects.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, IT, Finance and business leaders to strengthen HR operations and compliance.
• Serve as trusted advisor, preparing executive communications and tracking strategic priorities.

What You'll Do

• Partner closely with the CHRO to prioritize and execute enterprise-wide HR strategies, initiatives, and special projects.
• Lead complex HR projects from planning through implementation, establishing clear timelines, accountability, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes.
• Analyze workforce data, including turnover, absenteeism, labor efficiency, and safety trends, to identify risks and recommend solutions.
• Develop dashboards, executive summaries, presentations, and reporting tools that turn complex HR data into actionable business insights.
• Lead and coordinate organizational initiatives such as restructures, capability-building programs, HR technology implementations, and other transformation projects.
• Partner cross-functionally with HR, Legal, IT, Finance, and business leaders to strengthen HR operations, governance, compliance, and employee service delivery.
• Serve as a trusted advisor across the organization, preparing executive-level communications, tracking strategic priorities, resolving barriers, and keeping key initiatives moving forward.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using workforce data and trends to guide business and HR decisions.
• Excellent executive-level communication, project management, conflict resolution, and organizational skills, with the ability to balance strategy with hands‑on execution in a fast-paced environment.
