Job summary

Harris Computer, via its OnePulse healthcare software portfolio, seeks a Vice President of Research & Development to lead technology strategy, engineering execution, quality, and operations across more than eight products. Qualifications

• 8+ years in healthcare software leadership.
• 5+ years modernizing acquired or mature software products.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams across time zones.
• Experience applying AI to improve engineering productivity, quality, and delivery.
• Ability to travel ~10% annually for meetings and planning.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a portfolio level technology strategy across more than eight products.
• Partner with Product to translate priorities into realistic roadmaps, capacity plans, sequencing, and investments.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership across varied stacks and environments.
• Own engineering execution: planning, delivery, release, quality, reliability, and incident learning.
• Establish engineering standards and governance with flexibility for each product.
• Develop a modernization approach grounded in customer value, continuity, risk reduction, and cost.
• Apply AI across development, testing, documentation, and operations with guardrails.
• Lead a geographically dispersed R&D organization with clear accountability and development plans.
• Own budgets, forecasts, workforce plans, vendor decisions, and investment tradeoffs.
• Collaborate across Product, Customer Success, Support, Hosting, Security, Sales, Finance.
