Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP, Growth Marketing based in the United States.

The VP of Growth Marketing will shape the next generation of customer acquisition for a leading AI-powered customer platform as AI transforms how businesses discover and purchase software. You will own the global growth strategy across organic search, AI-driven discovery, performance marketing, and emerging acquisition channels. Your mission will be to strengthen brand visibility across traditional and AI-powered search experiences while generating high-quality demand across SMB and upmarket segments. You will identify new growth opportunities, allocate investment strategically, and turn experimentation into measurable business results. Working closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, Data, Finance, and Operations, you will connect customer insights with scalable acquisition strategies and potential product innovation. You will also lead and develop a high-performing global team, fostering a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement. This is a hands‑on executive leadership opportunity for a strategic builder ready to redefine growth in an increasingly AI-driven market.

Accountabilities
  • Growth Strategy and Investment: Define and execute the overall growth marketing strategy across paid, organic, AI-driven, and emerging channels, balancing investment across SMB and upmarket businesses.
  • Emerging Channel Development: Identify new acquisition opportunities arising from changes in technology, customer behavior, and market dynamics. Develop hypotheses, test new approaches quickly, and scale the initiatives that demonstrate meaningful results.
  • Search and AI Visibility: Lead organic search strategy while developing new capabilities to improve brand visibility, recommendations, and demand generation across AI-powered search engines, large language models, and agentic discovery experiences.
  • Performance Marketing Transformation: Modernize paid acquisition strategies through improved targeting, creative experimentation, personalization, and AI-enabled optimization to maximize short- and long-term returns.
  • Measurement and Growth Economics: Establish effective measurement frameworks and use data-driven insights to evaluate incrementality, customer acquisition costs, attribution, pipeline contribution, and channel performance.
  • Product‑Led Growth Opportunities: Partner with Product to translate emerging customer behaviors, unmet needs, and growth insights into new acquisition strategies and, where appropriate, new products or features.
  • Global Team Leadership: Attract, develop, and lead a high-performing growth organization, empowering leaders to take ownership while maintaining high standards for strategic thinking, execution, and accountability.
  • AI and Automation Adoption: Integrate AI tools and automation into marketing workflows to accelerate experimentation, improve efficiency, and help teams learn and execute faster.
  • Cross‑Functional Executive Partnership: Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Sales, Finance, Data, and Operations to align growth priorities with broader business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Challenge existing assumptions, stay close to critical decisions, and establish a culture focused on measurable impact rather than activity alone.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling growth within a globally scaled B2B SaaS company, with measurable business outcomes across acquisition, performance marketing, organic growth, or related functions.
  • A proven ability to create growth opportunities where established playbooks do not exist, identifying emerging channels and technologies, testing new approaches, and scaling successful initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in search and paid acquisition, with a strong understanding of how AI search, large language models, agents, and emerging discovery experiences are changing how brands are found, recommended, and selected.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen, including experience with customer acquisition cost (CAC), incrementality, attribution, pipeline economics, return on investment, and growth forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to allocate budgets, talent, and resources across multiple growth opportunities while balancing immediate performance with long‑term strategic investments.
  • Exceptional leadership experience, including managing senior leaders, building high‑performing teams, attracting top talent, and establishing a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Experience developing acquisition strategies for different growth models, including high-volume self-service and sales‑assisted customer journeys.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex challenges, make clear recommendations, and influence senior leaders across multiple functions.
  • A hands‑on, experimental mindset, with the ability to remain close to execution while empowering teams to operate independently.
  • Experience translating growth or customer insights into new products, features, or business opportunities is a plus.
  • Familiarity with marketing engineering, automation, and using AI to fundamentally improve marketing processes is advantageous.
Benefits
  • Annual cash compensation: $306,300-$490,100 USD, with individual packages tailored to skills, experience, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
  • Potential eligibility for equity compensation through restricted stock units (RSUs), depending on the role and applicable plan.
  • Annual bonus targets and on‑target commission where applicable to the position.
  • A comprehensive employee benefits and perks package, with details available through the company's benefits resources.
  • A flexible work environment that values both autonomy and meaningful connections with colleagues.
  • Opportunities to lead a global growth organization and influence the future of AI‑powered customer acquisition.
  • Access to the resources and scale of an established global technology business while having the autonomy to experiment and build new growth strategies.
  • Opportunities for professional development, leadership growth, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • In‑person onboarding or team gatherings may be required depending on the team and work arrangement. Accommodation can be discussed with the recruiter where travel presents a limitation.
