Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Manager, GTM Engineering based in the United States. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered go-to-market operations by building intelligent systems, automated workflows, and AI agents that accelerate marketing and sales productivity. You will lead the technical architecture behind campaign orchestration, lead management, account-based marketing personalization, and business development automation. Combining hands‑on engineering with strategic leadership, you will transform complex business requirements into scalable solutions that improve pipeline generation and operational efficiency. You will work across Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, and IT to integrate platforms, optimize workflows, and embed responsible AI practices into everyday operations. As a technical leader, you will influence senior stakeholders, guide automation priorities, and manage a direct report while remaining closely involved in implementation. This is an opportunity to build production‑ready agentic systems in a collaborative, fast‑moving B2B SaaS environment where experimentation, measurable impact, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Accountabilities
  • Design and deploy AI agents and workflows: Build end‑to‑end campaign creation workflows, from initial briefs to first‑draft content and campaign assets, using Claude or comparable enterprise large language models (LLMs). Orchestrate agents through MCP connectors and other integration frameworks while maintaining appropriate human review.
  • Automate marketing operations: Develop workflows that help marketing teams produce campaign assets using centralized information about product positioning, target personas, use cases, and channel best practices.
  • Build reusable automation frameworks: Create templates, playbooks, and standardized workflow patterns that allow marketing teams to adopt automation independently without requiring continuous engineering support.
  • Architect and integrate GTM systems: Develop a scalable, API‑driven go‑to‑market architecture that connects marketing platforms, account‑based marketing intelligence, external tools, and internal systems.
  • Optimize lead management and routing: Improve lead capture, qualification, scoring, routing accuracy, and handoffs to business development representatives (BDRs), ensuring faster response times and stronger pipeline conversion.
  • Develop BDR prospecting automation: Build workflows for signal‑based account prioritization, prospect research, outreach drafting, and task automation to increase the volume and quality of pipeline generated per BDR.
  • Own BDR technology systems: Oversee the business development technology stack, including sales engagement platforms and dialers, in partnership with BDR leadership and the BDR Operations Specialist.
  • Identify and resolve productivity bottlenecks: Work with BDR leaders to uncover operational inefficiencies, prioritize solutions, deploy improvements, and measure their impact.
  • Establish security and AI governance: Embed privacy, security, compliance, data‑handling standards, agent permissions, and access controls into workflows in collaboration with Business Technology and Security teams.
  • Manage technical experimentation: Test automation logic, evaluate system performance, identify scalability risks before deployment, and continuously refine workflows based on usage data and pipeline outcomes.
  • Lead and develop team members: Manage, coach, and prioritize work for one direct report, supporting their growth and increasing ownership of BDR tools and processes.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional priorities: Manage incoming automation requests, balance competing stakeholder needs, and align Marketing Operations, Growth Marketing, Customer Marketing, Event Marketing, BDR Leadership, Revenue Operations, and IT around delivery priorities.
  • Influence senior stakeholders: Translate business strategy into actionable technical roadmaps, communicate trade‑offs clearly, and guide decisions on scalability, data quality, privacy, adoption, and business impact.
  • Drive measurable business outcomes: Improve lead response times, routing accuracy, campaign production efficiency, BDR productivity, and the reliability and adoption of AI‑enabled workflows.
  • Maintain quality and accountability: Ensure AI‑generated content and automated actions are appropriately reviewed before reaching customers or prospects, with a target of zero production incidents involving unreviewed external‑facing outputs.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in marketing operations, go‑to‑market engineering, revenue systems engineering, or marketing automation, including ownership of complex systems and cross‑functional technical roadmaps.
  • Hands‑on experience building and maintaining integrations across marketing and Revenue Operations platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, 6sense, or comparable account‑based marketing and intent platforms.
  • Strong technical knowledge of APIs, webhooks, integration platforms as a service (iPaaS), and related integration frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of top‑of‑funnel go‑to‑market operations and BDR/SDR processes, including lead scoring, lead routing, handoff service‑level agreements, sales engagement tools, dialers, and attribution.
  • Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI‑assisted workflows or agents in a business environment using Claude or comparable large language models.
  • Working knowledge of agent orchestration through MCP connectors, APIs, or similar integration technologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing content and campaign automation workflows, from brief intake to first‑draft assets.
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS or subscription‑based go‑to‑market models, ideally across multiple regions, customer segments, or sales motions.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, or technically leading team members, with the ability to set priorities and develop individual ownership.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to investigate root causes, test hypotheses independently, and develop practical, scalable solutions.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technical plans, evaluate trade‑offs, and deliver effective solutions in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, and IT.
  • Confidence communicating technical decisions, risks, and performance outcomes to senior marketing, sales, and executive stakeholders.
  • A proactive, experimental mindset, with a willingness to move quickly within appropriate governance standards, measure results, and discontinue approaches that do not deliver value.
  • Strong judgment around responsible AI implementation, data privacy, security, compliance, and human oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building account‑based marketing (ABM) personalization workflows and scalable go‑to‑market automation systems.
  • Familiarity with automating work management platforms such as Asana.

  • Experience designing reusable automation patterns that can be adopted across multiple marketing teams and business functions.
Success Metrics
  • Increased generation of high‑quality pipeline per BDR, contributing to bookings growth.
  • Measurable improvements in speed‑to‑lead and routing accuracy from initial lead capture through BDR handoff.
  • Reduced manual and administrative workload for BDR teams.
  • Reliable production deployment and broad adoption of AI‑assisted workflows across Marketing.
  • Reduced campaign production time and more efficient account‑based marketing personalization.
  • Zero production incidents involving AI agents or automations reaching customers or prospects without appropriate review.
Benefits
  • Annual base salary: $150,081.25–$180,852.50 USD, depending on experience, location, and other job‑related factors.
  • Additional compensation: Potential eligibility for a bonus program or commission plan, along with stock options subject to board approval.
