Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. license.
• 10+ years in federal or state legislative or executive-branch roles.
• Experience leading government affairs or public policy teams.
• Strong understanding of legislative processes and advocacy strategy.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute federal and state government affairs strategy.
• Oversee public policy, strategic relations, and government relations teams.
• Direct legislative advocacy and lobbying with Congress and state legislatures.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with elected officials and policy partners.
• Guide preparation of legislation, testimony, policy analyses, and briefings.
• Represent the organization in hearings and external forums.
• Partner with legal, communications, and development functions to align priorities.
• Set team priorities, mentor attorneys and government affairs professionals.
