Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks a VP of Network Architecture & Cyber Security to lead architecture strategy and security across carrier-grade network infrastructure. You will drive standards, governance, and a multi-year roadmap for core, transport and IP domains while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

You will build and lead the Network Engineering and Cyber Security teams, manage risk and incident response, and partner with executives to align technology with business strategy and customer

Qualifications

• 15–20 years in telecom network architecture, engineering or security leadership
• Proven leadership of large, global engineering and security teams
• Experience delivering carrier-grade network and security programs
• Strong risk, compliance, and governance abilities
• Security architecture reviews, incident response, and threat management

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end network architecture strategy across core, transport, IP, interconnect
• Define standards, reference architectures, governance for engineering
• Ensure designs scale, reliability, performance, interoperability globally
• Provide technical leadership for architecture, planning, implementation
• Define and execute cyber security strategy, roadmap, and controls
• Lead security reviews for new services, deployments, partner integrations
• Drive vulnerability management, patching, risk remediation
• Integrate security into validation, testing, deployment and operations
• Lead audits, compliance activities, and regulatory documentation
• Represent company to customers, regulators, and industry stakeholders
• Establish risk management and operating rhythms; report to execs
