Location: Remote, North America

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer

Oyster is seeking a strategic, global-minded VP of Global Sales to lead our revenue organization across the Americas and EMEA. This executive role is pivotal to driving growth in both mature and emerging markets, overseeing new business and expansion across segments. As a core member of the go-to-market leadership team, you’ll lead a distributed team of sales leaders and quota-carrying reps while partnering cross-functionally to scale a high-performing, values-driven sales engine.

We’re looking for a seasoned B2B SaaS sales leader with a track record of delivering results at scale, building inclusive teams, and navigating complexity with clarity. If you bring both commercial acumen and operational discipline—and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments—this is a rare opportunity to shape the future of global work.

Key Responsibilities

As the Vice President of Global Sales, you will be responsible for defining and executing Oyster’s global sales strategy across the AMER and EMEA regions. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will lead a high-performing team of sales leaders and sales executives, while collaborating closely with stakeholders across Product, Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal. You will be accountable for scaling revenue, driving operational excellence, and evolving a high-integrity sales culture aligned with Oyster’s mission and values.

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and evolve Oyster’s global go-to-market strategy, aligning regional segmentation and structure with market opportunity and maturity.

  • Identify whitespace opportunities within our ICP and design repeatable, scalable playbooks for both new business and expansion.

  • Build and optimize pipeline generation strategies to drive predictable, sustainable growth across regions and customer segments.

  • Leverage data and market intelligence to continuously refine the sales strategy, improve efficiency, and inform headcount and investment decisions.

  • Translate company-level goals into regional sales plans with clearly defined KPIs, forecast accuracy, and performance accountability.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive performance against quota, Net Dollar Retention, and win rate targets through disciplined sales execution and leadership.

  • Ensure accurate, data-driven forecasting and reporting using Salesforce and associated GTM tools.

  • Coach sales leaders and teams to improve funnel conversion, shorten sales cycles, and enhance productivity.

  • Standardize key sales processes while allowing for appropriate regional flexibility.

  • Cultivate a high-performance, feedback-driven culture rooted in accountability and continuous improvement.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, develop, and retain a diverse team of high-performing sales leaders and ICs, fostering a culture of ownership, trust, and growth.

  • Champion a coaching-led leadership model that promotes autonomy, resilience, and development at every level.

  • Model empathetic, values-based leadership—especially through ambiguity and change.

  • Promote inclusion and belonging across globally distributed teams, ensuring Oyster is a place where people can do the best work of their lives.

Cross-functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success to streamline go-to-market motions and accelerate deal velocity.

  • Serve as the global voice of the sales organization in company-wide GTM planning and strategic initiatives.

  • Establish strong feedback loops to inform product strategy, customer experience, and market positioning.

  • Build trust and alignment with executive stakeholders across regions and time zones through clear, outcome-oriented communication.

Minimum Requirements
  • 12+ years of progressive B2B SaaS sales experience, including 5+ years in global leadership roles across multiple regions.

  • Proven track record of leading through second- and third-line sales managers in high-growth, remote-first environments.

  • Demonstrated success selling to SMB and Mid-Market customers in competitive, fast-paced markets.

  • Direct experience in HR tech or a closely related domain, with a strong grasp of the buyer landscape and value drivers.

  • Expertise in pipeline development strategies and consistent overperformance against revenue targets.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce and modern GTM tech stack, with deep knowledge of sales metrics, reporting, and process optimization.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; ability to turn data into action and insight into execution

  • Experience leading through organizational change and navigating complexity with confidence and clarity.

  • Exceptional communication and coaching skills; able to inspire and align diverse teams globally.

  • Deep commitment to inclusive leadership, grounded in humility, empathy, and integrity.

  • Resilient, action-oriented mindset with a bias for execution and a team-first approach.

Bonus: Experience operating in a high-growth scale-up, especially during go-to-market transformation phases.

Our values guide the work we do, the decisions we make, and the culture that makes us special. We elevate talent. We build trust. We thrive together.

Our mission is to create a more equal world—one global hire at a time. Everything we do ladders up to our mission—and that doesn’t just mean building software. We develop programs, participate in workshops, and create dedicated teams to ensure we successfully support companies and knowledge workers in this new world of work.

We embrace asynchronous communication and collaborative work—and we share how we work in the Oyster Public HQ —to help other global teams learn from our experiences.

How YOU work

Different countries have different statutory benefits, different cultures have different norms, and different people have different needs! In order to best support and encourage our diverse team, we’ve created How YOU Work; a program of policies, practices, and perks to support your whole human experience as an employee at Oyster.

  • Work from anywhere: Oyster is a borderless, HQ-less company. As long as your work gets done on time, your team has the support they need, and you're authorized to work where you live, the world is truly your Oyster.

  • Paid time off: We’re all about taking breaks—we all need it. Oyster provides employees with 40 days off each year, which includes public/bank holidays and vacation/holiday leave (unless your country mandates more).

  • Wellbeing allowance: Each month, Oyster will top up your ThanksBen wallet with a wellbeing allowance. You can get pretty much anything that your heart desires! ThanksBen offers a wide array of options for spending your wellbeing allowance. Check out their benefits cataloguehere for inspiration.

  • Flexible parental leave: Families are created in lots of different ways. Our parental leave policy applies to all employees who are becoming parents, regardless of how they become a parent. Oysters are eligible for a minimum of three months of paid parental leave and your job will be held for 12 months (or longer if required by local jurisdiction).

  • WFH stipend: Stipend to spend on your laptop and any other equipment you need for your home office; we'll get you up and running in no time!
