Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in education or related field.
• Minimum 7 years progressive administrative leadership in higher education, including online / digital or continuing education.
• Demonstrated success developing, scaling, and sustaining high‑quality online programs.
• Proven ability to work effectively with faculty and academic committees.
• Experience overseeing multi‑million‑dollar budgets, enrollment pipelines, and operational systems.
• Experience representing an institution to external stakeholders.
• Data‑informed decision making using analytics.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership, Vision & Execution – articulate a compelling vision for the online/global campus and translate it into measurable growth and academic quality.
• Program Development and Oversight – lead design, implementation, and continuous improvement of NMSU Global programs.
• Partnership & Employer Engagement – cultivate relationships with employers, community orgs, and government agencies.
• Faculty & Academic Collaboration – work with deans, department heads, and faculty to integrate online programs across the University.
• Student Access & Support – ensure programs are inclusive and supportive of all students.
• Assessment & Quality Assurance – establish metrics and reporting structures for program effectiveness.
• Operational & Administrative Leadership – oversee budgets, staffing, policies, and operational processes.
• External Representation – serve as a visible ambassador for NMSU in online education forums.
• Change Management & Organizational Development – lead through ambiguity and continuous improvement.
• Student Success – commitment to student success at core mission.
