Job summary

StepStone Group, a global private markets specialist, seeks a Vice President, Fund Accounting - Treasury to govern fund-level wire activity and related controls. You will own template governance, approvals, and escalation, coordinating with banks and Legal, Compliance, and Risk as needed.

You will lead a team, ensure SOX-aligned processes, and drive improvements in wire automation, cost control, and regulatory readiness across multiple fund structures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in fund accounting treasury, payments, or cash management in asset management or private markets.
• Deep expertise in fund-level wire processing, approvals, controls, and bank platforms.
• Experience leading teams and making high-stakes, time-sensitive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Approve and escalate all fund-level wire activity, including capital calls, distributions, and payments.
• Establish and maintain fund accounting standards for wire preparation and approvals.
• Own wire template governance, validation, modification, and auditability.
• Implement robust internal controls and segregation of duties across wire processes.
• Lead wire escalation and incident management with banks and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee ISO 20022 readiness, templates, data standards, and reconciliation parity.
