Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Vice President, Full Stack Software Engineer, to join the ETF Technology Team in New York, NY. You will design and build scalable full‑stack solutions in a regulated financial environment, emphasizing Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

You will partner with product and technology stakeholders to drive modernization, resilience, and performance, while applying AI‑assisted development practices to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering with Java and Spring Boot technologies.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Claude and Windsurf to accelerate delivery.
• Strong governance of RESTful APIs, microservices, and relational DB integration (Hibernate/JPA).
• Knowledge of OAuth2/JWT security and Spring Cloud components.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable full-stack solutions for ETF tech platforms.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and operations to ensure reliable outcomes.
• Drive modernization efforts across Java, microservices, APIs, front-end, and DevOps practices.
• Ensure quality through automated testing, code reviews, and secure development.
