Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with BNY, seeks a Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer in New York, NY to lead design and development of modern, scalable applications using Java/Spring and microservices, mentoring engineers, and driving high-quality, performance-focused software.

You will partner with cross‑functional teams to shape features, implement RESTful APIs, and advance CI/CD on Docker/Kubernetes, with AI code tools integration and a focus on responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5–9 years hands-on software engineering experience delivering Java/Spring/Spring Boot systems in production.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, microservices, design patterns and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of full-stack applications using industry best practices and modern tech.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to foster learning and improvement.
• Ensure high quality and performant code through testing and debugging processes.
