Job summary

Stord is seeking a VP, Fulfillment Planning & Optimization to lead end-to-end translation of customer demand into operational readiness across the fulfillment network. You will own the S&OP process, turning forecasts into a clear plan for labor, capacity, and support resources.

This leader will program-manage the planning cycle from demand forecasting through resource deployment, performance tracking, and reforecasting, ensuring the network meets customer commitments at scale.

Qualifications

• Significant experience owning S&OP, workforce planning, or capacity planning at scale.
• Deep understanding of translating forecasts into labor hours and capacity.
• Proven ability to operate in fast-changing demand with financial impact.
• Strong analytical skills and an operator's instinct.
• Exceptional cross-functional program management across senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own S&OP across the fulfillment network to align demand with resources.
• Collaborate with CX and customers to capture demand drivers.
• Translate forecasts into site-, shift-, and time-specific requirements.
• Validate forecasts with inbound inventory and historical demand patterns.
• Identify forecast risk and develop scenarios for expected, upside, and downside demand.
• Establish planning cadence across customers, sites, and functions.
• Translate demand into a workforce plan across the network.
• Determine labor requirements by site, shift, process path, and planning horizon.
• Coordinate hiring, staffing, scheduling, and training plans.
• Track labor vs actual and surface gaps early.
• Build planning models accounting for productivity, attendance, ramp curves, seasonality.
• Improve the accuracy and responsiveness of labor planning.
• Translate operating forecast to readiness requirements for MHE, EHS, Facilities, Procurement, IE, Training.
• Own readiness program management: connect S&OP to execution.
• Monitor actuals vs forecast; provide feedback loop and replanning.
• Create executive visibility into readiness and risks.
