Job summary

New York Life is seeking a Corporate Vice President for Foundational Business Communications to lead executive messaging and strategic content across internal and external channels. The role focuses on shaping leadership voice for multiple leaders, aligning messaging with the company’s strategic priorities, and driving cohesive storytelling.

The position is hybrid (3 days in the New York office, Tue-Thu) with home days Mon and Fri.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in executive communications or strategic content development.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Deep understanding of leadership dynamics and corporate strategy.
• Strong editorial judgment and ability to anticipate communication needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of executives' leadership style, priorities and communication preferences.
• Create and adapt content for internal communications, keynote addresses, leadership forums, external partnerships and digital channels.
• Foster cohesion between internal and external messaging to support company initiatives.
• Lead storytelling efforts to position the executives and the company as industry thought leaders.
• Translate complex business strategies into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.
