Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Vice President - Forward Deployed Engineer who works at the intersection of investment strategy, quantitative analysis, and applied AI. You will partner with portfolio management and research teams to identify opportunities, design solutions, prototype and deploy LLM-enabled tools that enhance decision-making and research.

This role requires deep expertise across investment management and software engineering, with hands-on experience building production-quality

Qualifications

• 10+ years in investment management, quantitative research/strategy, and software or AI engineering.
• Experience with desk traders, PMs, or researchers preferred.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-enabled applications and AI workflows.

Responsibilities

• Translate investment strategies into AI-enabled tools for investment decisions.
• Design and deliver POC and production AI capabilities for analytics and research.
• Collaborate with Investments, Tech, Data, Risk, and Compliance to meet enterprise standards.
• Lead scaling of prototypes into enterprise capabilities and drive adoption across the organization.
