Job summary

Dartmouth Partners in New York seeks a Vice President to lead coverage in Public Leveraged Finance, overseeing High Yield Bonds, Leveraged Loans, and Private Credit.

You will work closely with Portfolio Managers and traders, develop investment ideas, and present to investment committees for decisive actions.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years of leveraged finance credit research, MBA/CFA preferred, and strong underwriting and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leveraged finance credit research experience.
• Strong underwriting and analytical skills in credit.
• Proven ability to generate investment recommendations.
• Experience across High Yield and Leveraged Loans; Private Credit a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental credit research and develop investment recommendations.
• Cover assigned sectors with underwriting, security selection, and relative value analysis.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and traders on portfolio positioning and investment decisions.
• Monitor market and industry developments, providing actionable insights.
• Meet with management teams, sponsors, lenders, and advisors as part of the research process.
• Present investment ideas and recommendations to senior investment professionals and investment committees.
