Job summary

Partners Group seeks a Credit Research Senior Associate to join our US Liquid Credit team in New York, covering leveraged loans and high-yield bonds for CLOs and funds. You will lead end-to-end credit coverage, model financials, and present ideas to Investment committees.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in credit research with strong Excel, analytical, and communication skills, and a track record of rigorous, write‑ups and market insight.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in credit research, fixed income analysis, leveraged finance, or related credit risk role.
• Experience with a CLO Manager or Loan Fund Management platform preferred.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Top academic credentials in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary analyst for one or more sectors, owning end-to-end credit coverage.
• Back-up other analysts on the team and assist portfolio managers with projects and assignments.
• Conduct in-depth fundamental credit analysis on corporate issuers, including financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling.
• Prepare credit investment memos and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Monitor existing investments in real time and provide timely updates on performance.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned sectors and follow industry developments.
• Provide input on structural, secular, and cyclical themes affecting credits.
• Interact with corporate issuers, arranger banks, and other market stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss activity and events related to credits.
• Review credit agreements and other legal documentation related to issuers.
