Job summary

Goldman Sachs Bank AG in Dallas, TX seeks a senior engineering leader to design and build scalable financial software for P&L, capital and regulatory reporting. You will guide architecture, drive cloud adoption, and manage cross-functional teams delivering mission-critical systems used by global revenue and risk teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of Engineering Industry experience.
• 5+ years of development experience with Java and other programming languages.
• Knowledge of traditional (RDBMS) and modern datastores (NoSQL).
• Preferred experience with Cloud.
• Experience designing and architecting systems.
• Experience defining a long term vision for a product.
• Strong project and people management skills.
• Experience building and sustaining long-term relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical and business audiences and working globally.
• Experience in financial domain.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial systems to manage P&L, capital, balance sheet, liquidity, and regulatory obligations.
• Define vision for systems supporting future business strategies in evolving regulation.
• Partner with divisions and engineering teams to meet goals.
• Understand business needs, develop workflow, data requirements and specs for implementation.
• Develop high-level and detailed technical designs, testing strategies, and implementation plans.
• Implement and maintain best practices for software development and engineering processes.
