Job summary

The Reinsurance Association of America seeks a VP, Financial Affairs and Analytics to guide research, financial analysis and data analytics strategy. You will lead the Analytics Department and develop tools, publications and visualizations to support public policy and member priorities.

Responsibilities include analyzing GAAP and SAP financial statements, building decision-support models and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; advanced credentials are desirable but not required.
• 7–10 years in P&C insurance or reinsurance, with statutory and GAAP knowledge.
• Ability to synthesize complex financial/regulatory data for executives.
• Advanced MS Office skills and BI tooling experience are expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Analytics Department and develop data-driven policy and advocacy materials.
• Analyze GAAP and SAP financial statements and regulatory reporting implications.
• Develop models, reports and dashboards to support public policy priorities.
• Collaborate with regulators, rating agencies and member companies to communicate insights.
