Job summary
Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., parent company of Liberty, seeks a visionary VP of Financial Business Services & Financial Systems to lead enterprise finance shared services and technology-enabled finance operations. You will drive strategy, governance, and continuous improvement across GAAP, regulatory compliance, and enterprise growth.
The role oversees core finance operations, reporting, automation, master data governance, and security of SAP, BlackLine, Kyriba, and related platforms,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business; MBA preferred and CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- 8+ years in leading large finance organizations with shared services leadership.
- Experience implementing and optimizing ERP and finance systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-functional enterprise finance shared services organization.
- Develop and execute the long-term strategy for Financial Business Services and Financial Systems.
- Align finance operations with enterprise objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
- Oversee Record to Report, AP, Fixed Assets, Treasury Operations, Close and Consolidation, and Global Reporting.
- Partner with IT to ensure SAP, BlackLine, Kyriba and related platforms meet business needs.
- Drive finance transformation, automation, and organizational redesign initiatives.
