Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., parent of Liberty Utilities, seeks a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead reporting, forecasting, and analysis for Liberty commodities. The role partners with DBG Leadership, Corporate Finance, and regulatory teams to deliver accurate monthly results, rolling forecasts, and strategic insights.

The position requires 10+ years in FP&A with strong leadership, GAAP/CFR knowledge, and CPA/CMA designation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of FP&A experience with strong leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and CFR requirements.
• CPA or CMA designation and a university degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly management reporting for the Region (P&L, balance sheet, capex, cash flow, KPIs).
• Deliver value-added analyses to DBG Leadership and Corporate Finance.
• Explain results vs budget and root causes; drive corrective actions.
• Lead and manage rolling forecast and quarterly updates.
• Support regulatory filings and maintain SOX controls.
• Coach and develop staff; promote process improvements.
