Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic VP Finance/Controller to lead financial operations for our distribution/manufacturing team. This permanent role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, and audit management; requires at least 5 years in a senior financial role and strong BOM, manufacturing cost, and inventory knowledge.

You will partner with department leaders, ensure compliance, and drive forecasting and strategic planning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s or CPA preferred.
• At least 5 years in a senior financial management role, preferably in Distribution/Manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of BOM, Manufacturing costs, and Physical Inventory.
• Proficient with financial software and advanced MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial operations (AP, AR, payroll, GL, treasury).
• Oversee preparation of financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, regulatory reports).
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures; ensure compliance.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting (annual and monthly/quarterly).
• Collaborate with department leaders on financial strategy and decisions.
• Analyze data and present timely financial reports.
• Oversee physical inventory and BOM costing/ profitability analysis.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and treasury.
• Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance.
• Establish and implement a financial planning process, including annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting.
• Collaborate with other department leaders to develop financial strategies and make informed financial decisions.
• Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
• Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities, including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.
• Manage the physical inventory process, ensuring accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting.
• Understand and manage the Bill of Materials and manufacturing cost structures to ensure accurate product costing and profitability analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the Distribution or Manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Bill of Materials, Manufacturing, Cost, and Physical Inventory.
• Proficient in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
• An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills.
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
