Job summary

Solomon Page is seeking a hands-on Vice President of Finance & Accounting for a high-growth, PE-backed wealth management organization. Location: Birmingham, AL preferred; remote options with travel to Birmingham 6–8 days/month.

Responsibilities include leading accounting operations, GAAP policy enforcement, budget/forecasting, and partnering with executives on M&A and capital planning. Travel required; equity and bonus opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• CPA required; MBA and/or CFA is a plus.
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, and FP&A.
• Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience supporting M&A and equity administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, close process.
• Strengthen accounting policies, controls, and audit readiness.
• Develop the accounting team through coaching and mentorship.
• Own financial model, budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning.
• Partner with leaders on budgets and monthly variance reviews.
• Provide financial analysis to CFO for strategic decisions.
• Collaborate on M&A, financings, restructurings, and complex transactions.
• Oversee tax filings and equity cap table administration.
• Drive process improvements through automation and AI.
