Job summary

Pathward, N.A. is seeking a senior sales leader to drive growth by partnering with financial institutions to offer prepaid cards in their branches. You will lead a team, develop growth strategies, and manage relationships to hit strategic and financial goals.

The role requires 10+ years in banking/fintech, strong leadership, and ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Location-flexible with hybrid work and frequent industry engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in banking, card issuing, fintech or equivalent.
  • Direct experience in prepaid and/or gift cards is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to influence all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes sales, relationship management, and retention strategies to drive growth.
  • Leads a team of sales/relationship professionals (10+ reports) with KPI setting and coaching.
  • Forecasts sales and retention opportunities via pipeline and analytics reports.
  • Represents Pathward at industry events and leads contract negotiations in line with Legal guidance.
  • Drives lead acquisition in partnership with Marketing and collaborates with Product & Client Success.

About the Role:

Responsible for leading a line of business that partners with Financial Institutions to provide prepaid cards to be sold in their branches. This role is responsible for development and execution of key growth strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve our strategic goals including business development, partnerships, and relationship management.

What You Will Do:
  • Responsible and accountable for development and executing sales, relationship management, & retention strategies to deliver growth in accordance with Pathward Managed strategic and financial goals.
  • Oversees and manages a team of sales & relationship individual contributors, including establishing and managing KPI’s and objectives aligned with Pathward’s strategic initiatives.
  • Accurately forecasts future sales and retention opportunities, through pipeline and analytics reporting
  • Regularly reports to senior management on progress toward sales and retention goals.
  • Serves as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, workshops, social media campaigns, trade shows and expositions to retain and attract new clients and Sales Agents.
  • Develops and executes lead acquisition and Sales Agent strategies in partnership with the Marketing department.
  • Negotiates contracts in line with Legal direction and in the best interest of Pathward.
  • Actively participates in annual budget planning and monthly financial reviews.
  • Partners with product management, Client Success, marketing and relevant stakeholders to innovate and improve product offerings, technology and services based on aggregated issues, suggestions and client feedback.
  • Provides coaching, support and staff development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in banking, card issuing, fintech or other equivalent. Direct experience in prepaid and(or) gift cards highly preferred.
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate and influence all levels of the organization including executive and C- level
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills to inspire and guide their team
  • Solves problems efficiently
  • Experience leading teams of > 10 reports

Salary range: $150,000 – $227,000

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive opportunity.
